One hesitates at ‘Wellingtonians’ and ‘Moron’ in the same sentence, but in this case, it’s perfectly true, and not at _all_ rude. Well, at least not from us.
The mad boys who behind Mörön 2 МӨРӨН might disagree, as _their_ tagline reads as follows:
Two Möröns. Two morons. One shonky adventure of a lifetime.*
Last year, two rather…special…Wellingtonians decided to do something…interesting. In Mongolia**. They found, on a map of the region, that Mongolia contains two towns called Moron (when spelled in English). In, um, non-English, it’s Mörön. Or МӨРӨН
And they thought that it would be great good fun to cycle from to the other.
As one does.
So they did. It looks, from their blog, to have taken some 27 days, and a mixture of, from what I can figure, hilarity, throwing up and other digestive fun times, exercise, WTFs, vodka, and strange remote places.
Actually, just looking at their Category list is a giggle.
Anyway, read the blog – great idea, and some great reading! And they’re doing similar madness through South America in the nearish future, so that should be fun :P
Pugs/Khan: fancy a drink?

* I tried to derive a mathematical equation for this as the blog post title, got lost, and gave up :)
** Yes, this post exists because it’s about mad Wellingtonians doing mad adventure things in Mongolia.
