Mongolian madness in the Mail

Yep, the Daily Mail actually appear to have written something inoffensive :)

And it’s on the subject of the Mongol Rally!  The 2011 Rally, to be precise. One of their more intrepid reporters ambushed some of the Rallyers, in Olgi, in the Mongolian steppe.  She then goes on to talk of the team – driving an ambulance – she joined in with, the rules behind the Rally, and, well, how it works.

Madness, basically.  Utter madness.

And she ends, quite appropriately, I think, with this:

In our modern society, where health-and-safety and disclaimers dominate, the Rally offers something different. I saw all types of participants, from young to old, domesticated to intrepid.

It is just a question of spirit.

Note: the website for Party of Five, when this image was taken, is here. Congratulations on finishing, guys!
