UPDATE: we have tonnes of amazing men’s/women’s clothing flowing in, and a fair amount of it is ‘designer’, so some good deals!

Well, it’s 2012 and the Rally is a mere matter of months away.  Eek.

And so we’re amping up our fundraising/awareness-raising efforts.  With what, you ask?  Well, everything from stunts on the waterfront to veeeeeery interesting raffle prizes (more details soon!).  And, of course, a garage sale :)

Our wonderful friend Kowhai is holding a garage sale in our honour.  All proceeds raised from it will go directly to our NZ charities, so that’s awesome!

And not only is she donating a bunch of awesome stuff, but you can, too!  To quote the Facebook Event page:

Two mad Wellingtonians (yep, my friends) are driving 16,000km for charity to raise money for Women’s Refuge, Red Cross for Christchurch and SPCA. The money from this garage sale will be split evenly between all three.

I want to show some love for the cause(s) so have decided to organise this big-arsed garage sale at my house this Saturday. To make it huuuuge I really need my friends to donate their old stuff (think clothes, old stuff, plants, baking) and come along and hang out. We will have nice little party at the cottage afterwards methinks… Been so busy in the last 6 months it would be great to spend some time with you all.

I have Friday afternoon off to prepare so let me know if you want to be involved or just turn up on Saturday.

It’s all happening on Saturday 28 Jan, from 10am to 2pm, at the top of Mein Street, Newtown, Wellington (NZ).

And, if you would like to spread some posters about the event, you can use the poster below .  All in black and white, so printing is cheap :P

Spread the word, bring some stuff (remember, ALL proceeds to charities), and come hang out :)
